Mr Phillips was appointed Non Executive Vice Chairman of Freeworld Coatings Limited on 28 April 2011. He is well known and respected for his previous role as CEO of Barloworld and Chairman of PPC and he brings many years of commercial experience to the group. Mr Phillips currently holds various positions including Non Executive Chairman of Kwikspace Modular Buildings Limited, Newman Lowther and Associates, a non-executive director of Eqstra Holdings Limited, Chairman of Wasteman Holdings (Pty) Limited, Chairman of the Austro Group Limited and Chairman of NOAH. Other directorships include the World Wide Fund for Nature and Business Leadership South Africa.
